About JMR

Law firm application processes can be exceptionally prohibitive to candidates without access to the right people or resources.

 As someone who struggled a lot with the process in this way, after securing five vacation schemes and my training contract, the goal was to create and share in-depth guidance, talks and templates as widely as possible with aspiring lawyers otherwise without support networks or mentorship.

The project started in July 2020 with sharing cover letter and CV templates via my LinkedIn group ‘Joe Mallet Resources for Aspiring Lawyers’, and quickly grew to presenting courses, writing books, forming partnerships and speaking at universities.

JMR has now grown into one of the largest communities for aspiring lawyers in the UK, at over 11,000 members.
